Row 2: Bruce Hamilton, Bill Perkins, Charlie Davis, Sam Parnell, Darrell Dahl, Kevin Smith, Steve Barach7 Jim Bachos, Mark Arruda, Len Moldenhauer, Paul Fitzpatrick, Richard Tackett. LANCER The Lakes football team started their grid season explosively. They were feared throughout the league as the team to beat. Under the able leadership of head coach Andy Pazaruski, they won three out of their first four outings. Then, starting the second half of the football season, injuries began to take their toll. First it was Senior Mike McBride and then starting quarterback Steve Bowman. Coupled with injuries to other players the Lancers started to lose ground. The Lancers were never outplayed, they werejust out-manned. One man on the grid team to be highly praised is Senior Bruce Hamilton. During the season Bruce played every position in the backfield at one time or another, and played it with unbelievable skill. For his effort and determination he was picked to the All-League team. Another Senior who did an outstanding job for the Lancers this season was center John Hayden, who through his great effort in every game, was picked to the All- State Team. The inspirational award this year went to Senior guard Greg Mills. Other outstanding players were Sophomore Curt Johnson and Junior Darrell Dahl.
