SCIENCE The courses of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science present various methods of drawing conclusion to puzzling problems and inspire new ideas to be developed; Mr. Melvin Olsen directed the Science Department for his third year at Lakes and Mr. Robert Nevers joined the science staff this year. The Saturday Science Club was opened to students interested in increasing their knowledge of science outside the classroom. Many students took courses of basic math, business math, algebra, and geometry that are required for college. Other students who sought more challenging advanced courses took trigonometry, calculus, probability, and math analysis.
