Seniors were able to choose an aspect of English which interested them most and developed their style of writing. English students learn to communicate and express themselves clearly to others Literature consisted of Greek mythology, drama, contemporary novels, poetry, and short stories. Students not only learned to speak the language, but also developed the grammar and structure. Studying a foreign language helped students to become more aware of the culture of another country and provided them with Mr. William Schmidt Dep,t. ChairmamGerman the necessary foreign language requirements for college. A language lab was available for individual study.
