Pep Club helped to bring ab ut the necessary school spirit that Lakes needed. The members painted signs that encouraged our athletes and sold various buttons that students wore to show their support of the teams. At athletic events, the Pep Club generated excitement and a spirit to win. Terry Spielman, Krista Wetherholt, Cindee Stevick, and Lynn Patrick do their routine to TtKemosabe. Many hours of practice resulted in precision and perfection in marching routines. Juniors Becky Pugliese, Pat Reinsvold, and Kathy Stoffel demonstrate the variety v in Drill Team rbutines. DRILL TEAM MARCHES ON Marching t0 the brisk beat of the band drum were the smiling faces of the Lakes Drill Team. The girls exhibited skill in marching and talent in dance routines. Though not always perfect, the girls managed to grin at their mistakes and entertain the half-time crowds. The positions of captain and co-captain changed hands during the course of the year. Due to a leg injury Lynn Patrick was forced to give up her position as captain. Cindee Stevick moved into the role and Mary Robison took over the job of co- captain. Under such able leadership, the Drill Team sponsored the annual T010. The theme of the dance was the TTGardens of Atlantis? Profits from the dance were badly needed to pay off debts for uniforms and to Obtain funds for articles such as pompons used to highlight dance routines. One of the most well-reeeived half time programs of the year was the Senior March. The dance routine was to TTHawaii 5-0TT, performed by the senior members of the Drill Team. The girls rounded out the year by marching in the Daffodil Parade in April. Lancerettes come onto the floor to provide half-time entertainment
