DEBATE: ORGANIZED ARGUMENT The Debate Club has worked diligently this year with preparations for the South Puget Sound League debates. The Varsity record was 7-9 while theJ.V. squad lost only 2 of their 16 debates. Individual honors went to senior Chris Paternoster and Sophomore Steve Digerness for qualifying in the S.P.S.L. Individual Events Tournament held in Ellensburg. The Debate Club participated in the University of Washington Invitational Speechmaking contest February 13 and 14; they also entered the UPS. Invitational Speech Meet on March 27 and 28. Other activities included a demonstration debate for Woodbrook Jr. High and helping debators from Mann and Hudtloff participate in thejunior High Tournament held in May.
