Gaining experience with his first year of wrestling, Gerald Swillie contains his opponent. Despite a plague of minor injuries and a small tum-out which causes many forfeits, the JV Wrestling Team came through the season with a League record of 5-3, identical to the Varsity Team. In addition, theJVis learned much this year from a very competent Varsity. Some interesting highlights of the year were the Jefferson match, in which four of the first five wrestlers pinned their men, and the early Washington match, in which Dave Bridgeford was down 8-0 and pinned his man. Hopes are high for next year since many of this yeaHsJVs will be in line for Varsity. Sophomores Sam Henderson, Keith Thuline, Bob Sunell, and Rich Kaiura show definite Varsity potential as well as Juniors Ken LaFleur, Jim Osborne, Bob Bell, Bob Andrews, and Dave Bridgeford.
