These reporters write stories on events and individuals which seem to be of interest to the faculty and students. They also report in-depth on stories concerning the community and the affect it might have on high school students. A new innovation added to the LEDGER this year was the appointment of a first year Journalism student as a Junior Editor to assist the Editor-in-Chief and help prepare himself for top staff positions. -HI AFRO-AMERICA WEEK Afro-American History Week is a necessary observation of the Black American and displays Black culture and pride. 'Black and beautiful' was never more apparent at Lakes.
