WORK WA HARD BUT PIRITS HIGH The Lake Lancers started the season with nine returning lettermen and a new coach, Mr. Don Rarey. Seniors made up the bulk of the team. Steve Bowman, Bruce Hamilton, and Allen Hendren were Juniors who played on the team and added their skills. Coach Rarey worked his cagers hard with many different drills which were to coordinate and improve his team. Even with a low season record, the spirit and cooperation they showed made them a fine ball club. Along with the work as a team, some boys showed individual talent. Mike Buck, center, was the most improved player throughout the season. The boys who made the most points for the team were: Ken Robertson, Mike Buck, and Steve Bowman. Russ Sturgeon was our high rebounder during the games. Galen Melby and Brad Newark did not finish the season.
