The Adult Education Program of the Lakeland School District is in its fifth year. Starting in 1953 with a registra- tion of 262, the program has grown to Its present size of about l, 200 adult students. There were I9 different class- es in 1953-547 today there are 70 class- es representlng a wide variety of inter- ests. There are many factors responsible for the success of this enterprise.
