The Conservation Club, under the supervision of Mr. Brech, realizes the increas- ing need of studying the great mysteries of nature, especially since our suburban areas are growing. As in the days of Greece, the members specialize in preparing lectures and going on field trips. They are in the process of writing a pamphlet to be distributed to the publlc about the Nature Park of Croton Point. The whole purpose of the Washington Club ls to give the Seniors of Lakeland an opportunity to visit the capital of their nation along with such great buildings as the Pentagon and of course, the Capitol itself, which is of classic design. Also they can observe, during their four day guided tour, other hlstorlc places of interest as Mount Vernon, Annapolis and Gettysburg.
