I our fr if I Wrestling Advisor Mr. John Lockhart I sim E' Q E' X' , I ' Si ROW ONE: James Harlow, John Claps, William Celander, George Peters, Stanley Auerbach, Paul Leary, Harry Bromberg, ROW TWO: Edward Bunyea, Vernon Esterly, Alan Monowitz, Anthony Rizzio, Lewis Kingsley, Clifford Holmes, Wrestling started at Lakeland this year with a squad of I4 boys who stayed the full year. We had duel meets with Hendrick Hudson and Carmel, and a tournament with Carmel, Hen- drick Hudson, John Jay, and Lakeland. We placed third in the tournament. cross country This year the Cross Country Team has been a small but good one. Bill Jewell placed 'I3th in a field of 125 at Tarrytown. Ronald Young Elwyn Smith, and John Trace did so well that if another man had walked around the track, they would have placed Sth out of 25 teams. This points out their worst problem--lack of men . At another meet here at Lakeland they won over St. Mary's, placing Ist, 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th man 6th. This was the first meet they won. Next year they look forward to more victories and more men interested in Cross Country, claiming that any average per- son can easily run the 2 lf2 mile track.
