O g .S N appreciation of the tireless efforts of the members of the Board of Education in conceiving and bringing to fruition the beautiful Lakeland High School, we hereby dedicate to them the first publication of TERRA LACUS. Through their vision and progressive leader- ship, they have given to us a school that is second to none in modern convenience and comfort. This has created within us a sense of deep pride and roused us to greater efforts. These factors should goa long way in producing better students and better citizens. Merritt Llndsey, Principal N our efforts to show appreciation to those who have made Lakeland possible, it is important that we do not forget the men who worked so earnestly during the old days at Shrub Oak and have continued dur- ing the new days at Lakeland. Our administrators, always keeping the best interests of the students at heart, have provided for us a worth- while school program which encour- ages the students to achieve success in work and play.
