Miss Mac teaches business arithmetic, geometry, and trigo- nometry, and maintains that an ideal pupil is neither a book- worm nor a butterfly, but a wholesome, all-around boy or girl with a sense of humor. Architecture was once considered as a career by MR. ROBERT HOUSER, general math teacher. He is adviser to the Junior Lions Club and states his opinion of an ideal pupil as one with curiosity. The Torch Club has her for an adviserva wise choice indeed. Give Miss Brown cockers and flowers and she'll be content, The person who says l can't is MISS MINNIE SKlPPER'S pet peeve. MR. JOE CLARK, world geography teacher, has a family of three: his wife, a daughter, and a son, His pet peeve is wasteful people. He enioys his hobbies of photography and reading. Advising the Destroyer cheerleaders, the Y'Teens, and the Youth for Christ Club are important activities of MISS FRAN- CES FURLOW, who teaches English and Latin. Her most em- barrassing moment came when she was introducing a friend to the president of her college and forgot the president's name. Students who keep asking What page? .are her pet peeve. Teachers who are trying to promote themselves with the students and the office, states MISS CATHERINE CRAIG, are my pet peeve. Her Latin classes and the Classical Club take up most of Miss Craig's time, but she always finds time for her hobbies of sewing and needlework. MRS. FRANKIE WORKIZER, Spanish and Latin teacher, sponsors the Pan-American Club. Her most embarrassing moment was when, after suffering repeated shock and battered eardrums, she yelled back at the intercom system and later learned it was a teacher friend's voice she had not recognized. 513' Knock it off, MR. JOHN TEANY, health education teacher, might have said during his most embarrassing moment. Some ioker stole his pants while he was playing in a basketball game with weather five above zero. He is married and has a boy and a girl. Sewing and traveling are MRS. MARTHA ALLEN'S hobbies. She is a home economics teacher and new to the L.H.S. teaching staff this year. A thing of beauty is a ioy forever is her favorite expression and her outside activities are church, theatre, and music. ,u MISS LOUISE WILLIAMS, biology teacher, once considered architecture as a career. She collects antiques, early American furniture, and pressed glass. Miss Williams spends her outside time directing a chorus and sewing., She is also state co- ordinator of the Florida Junior Academy of Sciences. MISS JOANNAH WILLIAMS, chemistry and physics teacher, had her most embarrassing moment when she forgot to go to a dinner given in her honor. She was a medical secretary before she became a science teacher. A phone ringing at 2 A.M. is her pet peeve. .fy
