Miss Louise Willianis Mr. Rex Toothman Mrs. Norma Wlarren . 8 1, ' Mrs. Frankie Workizer Miss Alvazine Young Mr. Morris Zipprer A D.C.T. room of his own design in the new building is the current ambition of MR. REX TOOTH- MAN. D.C.T. coordinator. He is proud of his fifty'-five students who are ably combining school work with on-the-job training. Pride of a more personal nature is manifested in his young son. his baby daughter. his new home and his gardening. At Ll-l.S. there is a woman who was once the assistant dean of women at the university of Florida and is now on the iuvenile court advisory committee and the Polk County childrens committee. This experience enables MRS. NORMA WARREN to guide intelligently the students and their parents in all phases of their problems and to teach a course in problems. with personal understand- ing. Wild flower and stamp collecting are two of MISS I.OL'lSE XX'lI.I.lAMS' leisure occupations. She would like to add sheep raising and deep sea diving to these outside activities--all of which tie in with the subject she teaches, biology, and show the sincere interest she takes in her profession. XY'hen not collecting, raising, teaching, or diving. Miss Willitims plays tennis, rides horses, or enioys her music. Para mananan prefaces MRS. FRANKIE XYORKIZERS homework assignment in her Spanish classes, and the next day there is invariably a pupil who tells her. l couldn't get my Spanish because l had to do some other homework. This statement is definitely Mrs, NX'orki1er's pet peeve. Teach- ing Latin and Spanish. she tonsiders the seven weeks she spent in Mexico last summer a good invest- ment. NX'hen asked how long she had taught. MISS ALVAZINE YOUNG replied with typital blunt bre- vity. Many years. and these years have been spent mostly in teaching l.at1n. An ambitious tlub- woman. she has been state president of several organizations. Her hobby is stamp collecting. l..H.S. has a star tennis player on the fatulty--MR. MORRIS ZIPPRER, 9th grade cixics teacher. This is his third year here and in addition to tennis he likes rc-cord playing, reading. travel. fish- ing. and oddly enough. cow punching. hir.
