THE Convocation 1955 At the close of the seventh session, the Lakehead Technical Institute presented its annual convocation on May 9, 1955 in the Fort William Collegiate. The ceremonies opened with O Can- ada. The Reverend James H. Hinchliffe delivered the invocation. The address of welcome was given by the Principal, Mr. Harold S. Braun. Diplomas and certificates in the Techni- cal Division were conferred by Dr. M. W. Hartley. Certificates in the University Di- vision were presented by Mr. A. V. Chap- man. Mr. R. J. Flatt, Chairman of the Ad- visory Committee, introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Gordon P. Dalzell, M.A., B. Paed., Principal of Fort William Collegiate. After the address to the graduates, scholarships, trophies and awards were pre- sented. The convocation closed with God Save the Queen.
