Within a few short years, our graduates of today who are leaving halls of learning and find- ing their places in the world of work will take their places as the citizens of tomorrow. It is upon your shoulders that the mantle of government will rest, and it is my earnest hope that each of you will be keenly aware that you are the government, I hope that you will search yourhearts and define your own personal ideals of character and integ- rity, of duty to yourself and your fellow man, The true measure of our strength as a nation lies wholly within the minds and the hearts of our citizens, Likewise, the true measure of the success of your education is the extent to which it has instilled in you a deep sense of fair play toward others, Remember that we may not always achieve greatness -- but we can always practice goodness, O, D, BROWN Principal B.S., M.A.3 T.W.C., T.C.U. We picked one because we couldn't pick five, That is to say we don't mean to detract from the other four couples. In fact if these five couples are indicative of the whole student body, we are extremely happy to say that we are from a city that has such fine young people of student calibre, Our congratulations to the winner and our best wishes to all of the fine con- testants, Sincerely, antid PAu AEDS The Commodores CHUCK SPEED FLOYD GRAY EDDIE SEAL S a, ee en | i Band Sweetheart BARBARA GUNTER ne ened aa ne Emery t hb w NY) ON] SS ba Sy SUE GAY Award D.A.R.
