DEPA Rllf1'f.'VTS Keeping pace with the growth of the school and the changing times, the curriculum has been ever offering more subjects to meet the various needs of today's youth. Back in the horse and buggy days there were no such courses offered as business training, comptometry, clerical practice, industrial arts, art, music, home economics, and other specialized courses that are offered today. This year a new course was added to meet the needs of many students, distributive education, taught by Mr. Harrison. During the first hall' ol' the day the students are taught the fine points of selling and the art of displaying merchandise. ln the afternoon, they actually work as clerks in various depart- ment stores and their teacher supervises their work in the store. So the curriculum grows along with the needs of the present day world. However those planning careers that need higher education find the academic work offered also. Democracy which offers equal opportunity to all is exemplified in Lake View where so many varied types ol education are offered to better prepare all for success in their chosen vocation. so wi .X
