The author- ity ol' these superintendents comes lrom Dr. Luf bera, Superintendent in charge ol' Secondary liducation. The district ollice is given regional authority. Its purpose is to take care ol' all budgets, attendf ance, permits, special studies, or any acute prob- lem which may arise, and which otherwise would have to be conducted downtown. Nlr. l itLgerald has a meeting once a month with the principals ol' the schools in his district, where he discusses different problems which mav have come up. The current problem, which is now being discussed. is the importance ol luring more young people into the teaching proliession.
