What lies within that great structure known as Lake View? The opening of the doors leads the way to the inner mechanisms. First, the main office along with its subordinates, the attendance and adjustment offices, are like a heart, smoothly pumping forth the invectives that run the school. This inspiration is carried to the arteries, the classes and teachers who instruct and mold the character of the most vital part of the school -the students and their activities. The enthusiasm of the students never ceases, for their wonderful spirit pro- vides the needed element which lends life to the school. After being drawn to it as freshmen, they struggle through their second and third years, gradually absorbing knowledge, and taking part in the various school organizations, committees, and councils. Finally, they are sent forth as the finished product, which is the result of the tedious work and continual polishing done within the walls of the school to produce a person of whom it can be proud. He was reappointed for a second four year term in May, I95I. VVe have learned with great regret ol' Dr. Hunt's resignation, which is to take effect September, I953. He has accepted the Charles IV. Eliot professorship ol' education in the Graduate School ol' Education ol' Harvard University.
