RECORD A WAR YEAR 0 This year has been a most tiring one for the staff. lt is difficult to fit a peace time article to a war time existence. Therefore it is necessary to change various parts of our book to meet with wartime restrictions. The literary staff, with Louise l-letzel as editor, has more than faced the need for a new substance to work with to emphasize the crisis at this time. Having a school year book is one of the many free things we enjoy in a democratic nation. Realizing this, the student body should do their utmost to preserve this right. We, the staff of the Red and White, most graciously hope that you, the reader, will accept this publication of the Lake View Year Book. LOUISE l-l. HETZEL, EDITOR RED AND WHITE BUSINESS STAFF: L.
