NOW YOU SEE 'EM NOW YOU DON'T HAT'S the excitement in the assembly? Shall we go in and see? As we enter, thunderous applause greets our ears. Looking on the stage, we find the cause of the taniare. Mr. Winter has iust introduced Herbert Baker, the president of the fall commission. The ap- plause subsiding, Herb pro- ceeds to introduce his asso- ciates. Vivacious Dolly Kop- ulos steps forth as vice-presi- dent, and rotund Stuart Mc- Clellan is new the keeper ol the cash. Charming Ethel Gough will serve as official note-taker. Willowy Dorothy Peterson and Fuzzy Dwyer will take the social functions ot the school under their supervision. Exploring further into the future, we find we are again on hand to witness the cli- max of the rnost thrilling po- litical campaign ever waged in Lake View. Now, aren't we lucky? Twenty-six can- didates-all vying tor one honor-that oi serving you. Again rounds of applause are heard as Carl and Trudy Schneider step up to com- plete their brother and sister act as president and viceg. president, little Harold Sher man sings iorth as treasurer. Elaine Gitord swings lorward as secretary, Alfred Schilling and Emeline Bowditch com- bine their efforts to promote social activities. The audience, highly pleased at the outcome of the year's commission ree turns, loudly applaud. We, too, are carried away by the enthusiasm oi the crowd and ioin in giving the representa- tives oi Lake View's student b0C1Y a great big hcmd.
