NE of the most delightful social func- tions of the school year, the Cadet Hop, is sponsored by the Oliicers' Club. The 1936 silver anniversary hop was held in the Crystal Ballroom of the Edgewater Beach Hotel on December 30. Over 400 couples danced to 1 the swing tunes of Eddie XVoodward and his ME band. This evcnt took place during the regime of president Paul Jannenschg vice-president, Robert Skinderg secretary, Mon Ngook Chin: treasurer, Ross Jobst: sergeant-at-arms, Frank Hays. The oilicers of the February semester were: president, Robert Skinderg vice- president, Francis Hannibalg secretary, Gene Farengerq Hnancial secretary, Ross Jobstg treasurer, Hans Kuhlmang sergeant-at-arms, Cosmo Sanguras. The first duties of the ofhcers were the installation of the cadet oihcers, which occurred at the Dugout of the Lincoln Square Post of the American Legion. Following the ceremonies the oilicers and the guests danced and par- took of refreshments. Colonel John D. Von Holtzendorf, Major W'eil, Mr. XVinter, Sergeant Lee, and Mr. Daniel, were a few of the many distinguished guests. The club meets twice a week in school and once every two weeks at the home of one of the ofhcers. The primary purpose, however, is not the hold- ing of social events, but the discussing of military theory and drill which the ofhcers teach the cadets. Also many psychological questions are discussed, such as the disciplinary measures to be used by the officers. Row lTS.1l.lCl'CSllI1,c:. Rielie, R. Row 1--I, HA,HmAm' S. Klein. Rothxchnld, C.
