Yea, Jansen. Commission Assembly! Candidates for the commission spend a sleepless night worrying over their minute speeches. The day has arrived! The stu- dents vote by secret ballot during the division period for three boys and three girls. Xvhile the ballots are being cast let us divert our attention from the election of the candidates to the purpose of the student commission. Since 1914 with the exception of two years the commission form of student government has been in operation at Lake View. All commissioners must be seniors and must have a G average. The boy or girl having the greatest num- ber of votes is the president. The vice-president and secretary, the treasurer, and the two on the social committee have the next highest number of votes. respectively. The commission meets every Monday. These meetings are held to plan school improvements which can be carried out with the aid of the student body, to organize school dances, and to help promote various activities and projects, such as, concerts, senior dramas, the annual operetta, and this year the Music Festival. The commission also sponsors all charitable endeavors and attends to any business which falls within its jurisdiction. Flash! Latest election returns. Attention everybody!
