FRONT ROW: Steve Tjaden, Alvin Schwanz, Marvel Anderson, Jennifer Yates, Barb Scott, Becky Wiegel, Peggy Peters, Ann Irwin. NEW INITIATIVES THIS YEAR: Jerry Bugge, Pat Bruns, Mary Nelson, Cindy Griffin, Pam Goyer, Linda Rich- ards, Shirley Sanders, Trudy Hawks. Twenty-two Lake View-Auburn high school students comprised Troupe 1805 of the National Thespian Society, Officers were: President--Jennifer Yates; Vice-President--Linda Rice; Secre- tary--Mitchell Stock; Scribe--Ann Irwin. Two initiations were held during the year and the following became members: Pat Bruns, Jerry Bugge, Cindy Griffin, Pam Goyer, Trudy Hawks, Mary Nelson, Linda Richards, and Shirley Sanders. National Thespian certificates of recognition for outstanding performances in the Dramatic Arts program were awarded to the following seniors: Bruce Gantz, Peggy Peters, Linda Rice, Becky Wiegel, and Jennifer Yates, who also was presented with the award for meritorious participation in Dramatic Arts. The Thespians climaxed their year with a two-day trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where they highlighted the trip with a visit to the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre and attended a performance of George Bernard Shaw's play Saint Joan .
