GLEE CLUB The vocal talent of Lalze View High School is displayed by the Lake View Glee Club of 1959-60. The club, Sixty-five members strong, is divided into two rehearsal periods. Under the capable direction of Mrs. Mildred Bul- lock, the choral group has prepared a variety of numbers from western spiritual, religious, and popular music to old favorites of which one never tires hearing. This year the club obtained beautiful new choral robes made of royal blue in the standard style. These robes have the added beauty of gold stoles which may be worn in two ways. The robes contribute to the uniformity of the club. For the Sunday afternoon enjoyment of the patrons of Lake View and the surrounding area, the club presented concerts at frequent intervals. These have done much in giving experience to the group, and in giving our com- munities a chance to hear and enjoy the work done during the year. It was organized in November, 1928 to provide further training in farmer-citizenship. The members of this organization learn to conduct and take part in a public meetinggto speak in public, to buy and sell cooperatively, to solve their own problems, to finance themselves, and to assume civic responsibility. The F.F.A. exists today be- cause of a cooperative spirit and a desire on the part of boys, 14 to 21 years of age, to prepare themselves for farming through vocational agri- culture, to have a national organization of their own in which they receive practical business expe- rience, and enjoy the fellowhip of one another.
