Senior History The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, moves on; ... There's no turning back now; we are seniors. All we can do now is move ahead. Most of us had our doubts during our sophomore year as to wheth- er we would reach the ultimate of success at the Pink Palace: Seniors. Rob Coleman, Terry Robinson, and Mary Hawkins tried their hardest to keep us from falling apart. When our first homecoming rolled around, we were completely bewildered and started out by wearing gunny sacks with purple and gold racing stripes. We then put all our talents, skill, and intelligence into our skit, song, and yell. On rally night we pre- sented our masterpieces and received a first in skit, second in song, and third in yell. By the end of the year we were almost reluctant to leave. At the start of our junior year we were also a little reluctant to come back, but we forced ourselves. Homecoming sneaked up again but we managed to weather the storm. Again we won first place in skit, second in yell, and first in song. Under the lead- ership of Rob Coleman, Greg Williams, and Mary Hawkins, our class com- pleted all the junior activities, with some de- gree of success. Our prom, with Jean Modrow as chairman, was attended by all. At the end of the year we were excited about leaving, but even more ex- cited about coming back as seniors. 14
