J Scripts off the Shelf As the curtain rose on the year i954-55, we began with a membership of 98 in our cast. The main features at this time was the publication of the Junior Beacon. Other added attractions of the year were G.A.A., Junior High Sports and Square Dancing. These activities were under the direction of Mrs. Adams, our class advisor. After a short summer intermission, we ambled back to our places. lr was Places, everyone and Quiet on the Set as 86 understudies reported to the studio. During our Sophomore year we placed 12 students in Torch, had 24 in G.A.A., 9 in Band, 23 participated in High School Sports Highlighting our social activities was Cupid Capers, our first maior dance. The year l9S6-57 spotlighted many activities sponsored by the Juniors. To finance our Junior Prom we held candy sales and raffled off a turkey during the holidays. The week of December l7-2l saw many shiny shoes as our candidates for Shoe Shine Queen were competing to rule over the annual Shoe Shine Dance. Much hidden talent was uncovered when we sponsored an all school talent show. Sixteen Juniors were received into torch. Members of our class also participated in G.A.A. and boys' sports. Climaxing the year was the great production ol Pacific Paradise, our Junior Prom. Lights! Camera! Action! And plenty of action took place during the year i957-58. The first big role starring the 73 Seniors was The Man Who Came to Dinner our Senior Play. Several members of the class helped to make the Homecoming game and dance a successful affair.
