We published the Junior high paper entitled the 'Junior Beacon with Vivian McDaniel as editor, Lora Lee Sovde assistant editor, and Betty Lundgren business manager. During the year we produced an assembly program for Junior High, entitled nM1dg6 Goes to the Movies . The class was well represented in FFA, in the Music Festival Everett, Glee Club and had five girls in Drlll Team Doris Honeycutt, Betty Lund ren, Vivian LODHHIB1, Janice Smith and Betty Thompson. Betty Lundgren, Janice Smith, Jim Clifford and Dave Johnson also played in the orchestra The Freshman class placed third in the Intra mural basketball games In the Sophomore year we were glad to welcome Phyllis Yates from hichlgan, and Janice Sather from Tacoma, to our group Our clas new totaled fifty eight thlrty four boys and twenty four girls For class officers we elected Wallace Nelson President, Bob Crook Jice President, Audrev Neys Secretary, and Janice Sather Treasurer and we sponsored two dances and one assem- bly during the year. The Sophomore boys were very well represented ln the three magor sports As a whole, our Junior year was qu te eventful and we chose the following to lead the class: Ted Graves President, Vivian LcDan1el Treasurer, and Don Worlund Councll Re presentative Ted Graves was also Vice President of the Student Body LaVerne Little entered from Snohomish and Ken Niokell from Seattle. They were a welcome addition to our class. November 10, we presented an Armistice Day Program and November 14, a sock dance. There were fourteen Juniors in the Torch Honor Society and three were officers. Five Junior girls earned their letters and were 1n1t1ated lnto the Vi Queens During the ear we sold ice cream bars at basketball games to help earn money for the Junior Pram.
