Foreign Relations ol Marco Umaiia is the second foreign ex- change student attending Lake Shore. I-Ie comes to us from San jose, Costa Rica. Marco is also the oldest of his family, having two younger sisters. His father is a night watchman in a factory in San jose. In his own inimitable style, Marco has taught us many things about the Latin tempera- ment and society. His light-heartedness and enjoyment of life have added much to Lake Shore. We hope that Marco's year here has held many memorable events and acquaintances for him. We have made a memorable acquaintance in him.

One of these is Fariedeh Shirazi from Tehran, Iran. Facli , as she is nicknamed, is the oldest of four children, one boy and three girls. Her father' is a lawyer for the National Iranian Oil Company. We have been most fortunate in having Fadi with us. The knowledge of her country and culture, which we have gained by living and working with her, can never be replaced. We can only hope that she has enjoyed her stay here and learned as much from us as we have from her. Wherever she goes, our hearts will go with her. ,x ' LJ l iJJ ll i We
