CLOCK WATCH ERS ENGLISH, SPANISH, LATIN A study ot either ancient or modern languages makes available to the student intellectual, cultural, ethical and moral values that cannot be obtained from any other group ot subiects. The knowledge ot a language necessitates clear and orderly thinking. lt exercises both memory and powers ot concentration. It trains in precision and accuracy and affords an opportunity to study the material and psychic lite ot another people and to compare them with those at this country. ln the classes ot English, Latin, and Spanish, the minute workers attempt to attract the clock watchersm powers ot concentration, As steadily as the ticking of the clock they pound vocabulary, grammar, literature, and composition writing into their victims' skulls. Spanish Ill and Latin lll are two at the smallest and busiest classes in our school. Reason: Notice the implement that Mr. Meka uses to keep his students' minds on their work.
