ln any musucal organization rhythm is as important as harmony or melody In our every day lives we fund that our athletic program provides the rhythm Just as we fund the beats of the musuc we hear the rhythmucal bounce of cu ball or swush of a stuck Here at Lake Shore Central we carry on an extensive program of sports FOOTBALL S outstanding feat was the development of a Junior Varsuty team under the excellent supervision of Coach Kunn About forty boys will return next fall for a taste of the season s gruduron but the loss of Captain Bull Ware Bob Drago Chris Ross .lerry Ruhl and Charles Pfleuger wull be harmful to our team BASKETBALL was successful un completing a sixteen game court campaign The Varsity managed to retain best won lost average un recent years The Junuor Varsuty displayed tremendous expectatuons for next year The BASEBALL season ended wuth our team firmly entrenched un second place un the Southern Erie County Duvusuon BOWLING proved to be a success for the students They learned many of the funda mentals of the game and received a great deal of enuoyment from ut Thus concludes our resume of boys sports and now we look to the gurls accomplishments We make an unventouy of the gurls sports and fund HOCKEY SOCCOR BOWLING VOLLEYBALL BASKETBALL and SOFTBALL to be sports of the intramural curriculum. BOWLING a new sport took top honors in the popularity department. Each week one hundred and twenty girls took their turns at the foul line to raise their own scores and improve their team standing. The CHEERLEADERS tried to create a triumphant spirit of victory for the teams. During the basketball season the Senior Varsity Cheerleaders proudly appeared in their new uniforms. Next year why dont you enter one of the many athletic groups and add some new rhythm to the steady beat of your daily life? -50- TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME
