1 l llll tr FII W P N NIM III Vail f J it ,,., lll , , W llhllllllllllllillllmiii t 'l 1iiliV' l' 'TWH 1969-70 - This was the year of changes. Not only in our school, town, or even country, but in the whole universe. With the new year came a new President, and the voice of America came alive. Viet Nam moratoriums proclaimed the disapproval of a long fought war by many Americans, while most of our countrymen hailed their happiness at the first man, an American, walking on the moon. For our school the changes were light but meaningful - a loss of students really brought us closer together, and an added building broadened our educational facilities. This was the year that the Seniors deepened their love for their school and realized that the end of high school was near: the Juniors focused their thoughts on next year: and the Sophomores and Freshmen became more aware of the inner spirit of L.P.H.S. We, THE DELTAN staff, have strived to capture the big and even small moments that make L.P.H.S. what it is - a school among millions, but singular within itself because we, its students, have made it something special. In later years we hope you will look back on the school year, 1969-'70, with pleasant memories and will open with pride our cherished accomplishment, THE DELTAN of 1970.
