Getting Involved A big part of education is the extracurricular activi- ties that students get in- volved in. Sports, band, chorus, FFA, FHA and aca- demic contests all add to the enjoyable part of school. By participating in extra- curricular activities, stu- dents learn to work together and they gain many memo- ries that they will cherish forever. Tim Scheidt judges meat during a FFA judging school. 12 Student Life Right-Tim Scheidt puts up a jump shot against Elkton. Far right-Gary and Beth Djonne show off the latest addition to their family: “Diverman”, Garret Allen Djonne, born January 10, 1986. Above-Steve Hasche appears amused at the thought of winning the essay contest for his grade level. Above middle-Candy Johnson shows off her new friend in the English room while Mrs. Sorkness is away. Above right-The perfect threesome: Miss In- nocence (Vikki Anderson), Miss Attentive (Amy Wienk), and Miss Pose-for-a Picture (Sheri Jacobsen). Middle right-Mr Djonne and Shane Odegaard seem to be disagreeing about where the bathroom is in the Capitol Building. Governor Janklow knows where, but he won’t tell. Far right-Amy Wienk is definately get- ting ready for the Homecoming Dance by “jamming” on the field. Right-Lon Bratland receives the Ameri- can Legion Citizenship during the awards ceremony.
