Future Farmers of America = FFA Following the fad of raising money for the new football field, the FFA Chapter worked towards the construction of a concession stand. The FFA attended many judging meets this year. They also attended the State Convention in Breckings. After the coronation festivities and the burning of the H , the Future Farm- ers hosted a watermelon feed on the school parking lot. Again this year the FFA boys sold fruit at Christmas. This was their most important money making project, and everyone worked hard to make the money for the concession stand. This year the slave auction was held in the gym following the Athletic Ban- quet. Due to conflicts, they were told this was the time to have it. All of the boys sold for high prices, and everyone was SUPPOSED to do their work. For the concession stand the boys got a $400 grant from the government to help pay for the expenses. All went well this year, and high hopes for the next year will soon be ad- vancing on them with the coming year. The boys will go into the summer months trying to do the things that they learned to do in Dagel's future farming classes. 10
