Each senior carried or wore a red rose representing their class flower. The stage was brightly decorated in the class colors of red and silver. Movin On was chosen as their class song. On the morning of May 16th the seniors met as a class for the last time for a steak fry and party in the park. To go along with the theme of comic strips for the homecoming parade floats, the Juniors used Bam-Bam the Bulldogs from the Flint- stone characters. 15 NOT PICTURED: Randy Nelson Juniors inOrbit With Space Odyssey Mary Jo Rich Rita Tolzin Brenda Woodcock Wayne Wienk Diane Wolkow Doug Severson Haliie Svihel Renee Steffensen Gail Swenson Doug Olson Peggy Osvog Bill Paterson Sophomores-Taking More Step Ahead Dave Anderson Tom Birath Paul Casper 17 Class officers: LEFT, Brian Sneesby; Secretary, Joyce Smith; President, Dean Nelson; Treasurer, Brian Tande; Vice-President Lori Malone Dale Martin The sophomore class demonstrated their interests by being involved in several activities. They parti- cipated in basketball, football, wrestling, cheer- leading, band, and chorus. The highlight of their achievements was winning the only float award during homecoming. They continued the year by also being involved in FHA, FFA, Blue and Gold Staff and Annual Staff. Did you notice several 76's on numerous build- ings around town? No one ever forgets the time, effort, and excitement packed all to- gether in one small week during Homecoming. Theme for this year was Comic Strips. All classes constructed floats from horse trailers and old flat beds. Coronation has always been one of the special events during the hectic week. Following coronation was the traditional pep rally and burning of the D . A watermelon bust was sponsored by the FFA afterwards. On the final day rainy weather couldn't hold down the spirit and excitement for the parade and oncom- ing game.
