Agriculture I, II, III, and General Math are taught by Mr. Gary Gudahl this year. He also is advisor to the senior class and FFA. Say, by the way, did you hear the joke about. . .??????? Move it, move it, move it! could be heard sounding through the gym as Mr. Henry Len- ards watched over his high school girls and boys physical education classes. When not busy with athletics he taught U. S. history. Being the advisor for the junior class they always found some way to keep him busy. Basketball, track and girls athletic program were his extracur- ricular responsibilities. 7 Don't let the smile fool you, Mr. Keith Jandahl in his first year at LPHS, wasn't always in such a jolly mood when he taught typing I and II, economics and bookkeeping. He was also busy during the year trying to bring the B basket- ball squad on to victory. The annual staff and sophomore class were lucky to have him as a helpful advisor. Ambling through the halls of LPHS this year was another new member of the faculty, Mr. Paul Dobbs. Occupying most of his time dur- ing the year was his job as head football and wrestling coach and assistant track coach. Filling in the rest of the year he taught grade and high school physical education classes and general business. He was also advisor to the sophomore class.

Chemistry, physics, and biology were taught by two bachelors this year, (one wasn't enough) Mr. Larsen had the first semester, then Mr. Fumey took over the second semester. They also advised the senior class. The students did more with their voices last year than just talking, when Mrs. Judy DeGraaff came and taught elementary and high school music. For the enjoyment of the whole town she supervised the Christ- mas Program and a spring and fall concert. Mr. Larson is presently serving his country. Bingo, anyone?” This year's toot-toot section of LPHS was under the direction of Mr. Gene Holter, the instrumental music teacher. Besides working with the pep band, Mr. Holter was kept very busy during the year with A-band, B-band, stage band and advising the sophomore class. Some of the highlights of his year were the pops concert, ensemble and solo contest and the combined concert. 6

Junior High Faculty Eat 'um up, Chew 'um up! The junior high is taught by Mr. Larry Lueth in the Social Science courses, Mrs. Opal Guse in Science, and Mrs. Selma Hanson in Math. Each teacher is responsible for home room English, spelling and art. Working hard every day to fill the tum-tums of all the good little LPHS students were Mrs. Diana Dierks, Mrs. LaVonne Thomsen and Mrs. Helen Joints on, the best cooks a school could ever have. Wanna Drag? Early every morning the buses of LPHS could be seen slowly crawling out of hibernation to pick up the country kids for school. Kenneth Anderson, M. R. Munson, Rev. Richard Stierlen and Martin Neu had the job of bringing all the screaming kids back in for an education and taking them home again. These men also drove the buses for out of town school activities. They Cared For Us! The halls and floors of LPHS were kept shining all year with the help of Carl Swanson, Mae Thompson, Rose Adams and Conrad Elvik. Whenever any of the students would call for help one of them would always come with any assistance they could give. 8
