Dedication This year's annual staff wishes to dedicate the 1969 Prestonian to our English and speech instructor, Mr. Tom Fritts. Aside from teaching speech and English, Mr. Fritts leaves additional time for contributing to the student activities. Last year, debate was in- troduced and coached by Mr. Fritts. He also coaches the declam department and advised the Blue and Gold staff. The all school play was directed by Mr. Fritts also. This year, Mr. Fritts again as- sumed the responsibility of coaching the debate squads. Mr. Fritts acts as advisor to the sophomore class. The annual staff feels that Mr. Fritts has contributed greatly to LPHS. 2

Change in administration brings new ideas Mr. Gerald Andrews taught English in Aber- deen before becoming superintendent of LPHS. He received his Masters of Administration at Northern State College. This is his first year at Lake Preston. After graduating from SDSU and teaching for five years Mr. Gene Harstad earned his Masters in School of Administration at Nor- thern State College. This is Mr. Harstad's first year as princi- pal, He is also advisor to the NHS. Florence has been the school's secretary for the past thir- teen years. 4
