Forward Although the class of '68 has completed their high school career at LPB3, their footsteps will linger for an age of time. As you look through the events of the '67 - '68 school year, may they bring back memories of happiness. We,the annual staff, have tried to cover as fully as possible the events of the past school year, and we hope that we have fully met this goal. Dedication Ve, the annual staff of 1968, wish to dedicate this Prestonian to the memory of John William Stewart. John was a member of the junior class at the time of his death in April of 1968. John was a sincere friend and an active student and was always interested in student affairs. Ve feel that by taking John from our midst, God has instilled in us the courage to accept the things we cannot change. Though his death seems so pointless, it holds many lessons for each of us. Ve hope that this dedication will serve to remind each of us to establish high ideals in our daily life. The superintendent of the school, Mr. Merlyn Krenz, graduated from South Dakota State University, where he received his Ba- chelor of Science and Master of Education degree. Mr. Krenz taught here as a math teacher from 1959-1964, and in 1966 he came back as superintendent of LPHS. He has been in the administration for two years now. Mr. Krenz also teaches plane geometry and advises the Student Council. Board of Education Administration Left to right: Mrs. James Kopperud Mrs. Wendell Nelson Mr. Donald Falla Mr. Robert Hauck Mr. Glenn Green Mr. Verle Pike Graduating from South Dakota State University, Mr. Gary Gudahl received his Bachelor of Science degree. Having been in the Lake Preston school system for the past four years, he teaches vocational ag- riculture and general science. Mr. Gudahl is the advisor of the senior class, Future Farmers of America, and was principal for the 1967-68 school term® Mrs. Delbert Olson, secretary to Mr. Krenz, was first secretary for V.W. Madsen for two years. For the next eight years she served Mr.Len Aman. Mrs. Olson is now in her second year of secretarial work for Mr. Krenz.
