te4aif 'a leader Qir principal leader, Superintendent Madsen, has a great deal of responsibility confronting him. He handles day-to-day problems and also those of a more serious nature. Besides lead- ing and advising us, he teaches Algebra, Advanced Algebra, and Geometry. He is also the Fresh- man class advisor. Next in rank is Mr. Culey, our Principal. Mr. Culey has done a great deal towards the scien- tific development of the students. He teaches Biology, Physics, and Senior Problems. Oir Home Economics Department is headed by Mrs. Leafstedt. She teaches Home Ec. I, Home Ec. II, and General Science. Also, she is the annual advisor and one of the Junior class advisors. Whenever there are a group of boys around a desk, it's almost certain you'll find Mr. Pren- dergast in the middle of it. Tom is our athletic director. He, too, has a busy schedule of classes and activities. They include American History, World History, English II and Girls Physical Education. He is the Senior advisor. Handling office affairs is the job of Mrs. Olson, our office secretary. Some of her duties include filing student records and school business records, taking office calls and handling the lunch tickets and money. James Culey Tom Prendergast 4

Training leaders of Tomrrtu) Qie of our busiest teachers is Miss Kuehn. She has charge of the following classes: Typing I» English III, English IV, Shorthand; and is advisor to the school paper. In addition to these she directed the Senior Qass Play and assisted in the direction of the Junior Class Play. Miss Kuehn is also one of the Junior Class Advisors. If you should look into the Conroercial Room and see a stack of papers to be corrected, you'll no doubt also find the person behind all of it. She is Mrs. Seigle, who teaches General Business, Bookkeeping, Spanish, and English I. She also directed the Junior Class Play and is one of Junior Advisors. The person leading us musically is Mr. Sougstad. He is indeed a very busy man. He directs the Band, Mixed Chorus, Girls Glee, Boys Glee, and also the upper grades in Grade School. In addition to this busy schedule he has many, many individual lessons daily. Qir Agricultural Department is headed by Mr. Stormo. His time is spent teaching Shop, Ag. I, Ag. II, and Ag. III. He also has charge of F. F.A. activities and coaches the Grade Basket- ball team. He is Sophomore class advisor. Charles Stormo Carroll Sougstad
