'Jim 9a UtoaifA Sixteen Seniors returned for their final year. Ware Bullington moved away during the summer. We choose Tom Prendergast as our adviser and Mrs. Allen Casper as our class mother. Shirley Brown was crowned Homecoming Queen and Dean Jen- sen Marshall. Their attendants were Irene Me Donald and Blaine Tolzin. Shirley Brown was chosen D.A.R. candidate. Some of the highlights of the year were the Annual, College Day at Huron, Government Days at DeSmet, Skip Day, Class Night, all school picnic, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. Tim Da Juture At the beginning of the Junior year seventeen students returned. Irene McDonald joined us from DeSmet. Our class mother was Mrs. George McDonald Sr. Our Class adviser was Mrs. Reeves. Our Homecoming Queen candidate was Shirley Brown and her attendant was Larry Anderson. Blaine Tolzin and Allen Wienk went to Ar- lington to represent Preston in the commercial contest. Our class rings were received the later part of February. Our play “Antics of Andrew was presented with great success. Our banquet was held in April with “Anchors Aweigh as our theme. The All-Star-Trio played for our prom. Shirley Brown represented us at Girls State and Bill McNamara at Boys State. The year was drawn to a close by an all school picnic at Lake Kampeska.
