The journalism class is proud to dedicate the 1969 OLYMPIAN to the concept of champions. Students and faculty are champions, not only in athletics, but in academics and in life 'lgqhis was an outstanding year for the champion hockey team. They brought home five trophies to add to the trop y case. Morale and teamwork make a championship team. Team pride and a feeling of accomplishment even though a game was lost is another form of championship. It takes courage to congratulate the official winners, but such courage can make the losers champions. Although Lake Placid athletes did not excel in all sports, they proved themselves to be champions by their fine attitude and sportsmanship. The seniors who have achieved academic awards, and those who have achieved other awards fwhich will be listed on the last pages of this yearbookj are champions.
