Christmas Christmas festivities got underway as students cast their ballots during their lunch period for the princesses. Seniors selected Marge Handy and Mimi Herrle: Marge Schenk and Kathy Kamman were junior selectees: sophs chose Mardonna Anderson and Kris Morehouse, and fresh- men had Randi Underdahl and Liz Shirley as their representatives on the Christmas court There were several events this year that really raised the Christmas spirit in our school. For one, there was the Canned Food Drive in which LOHS finally came out victorious over Tigard. Also the decor of the halls was helped by decorating doors for class competition in the annual decorating contest. To round out the activities, there was the Christmas assembly in which the choir, Windjammers, Poop Decks, and band expressed their spirit for Christmas in a musical way. The teachers also gave an amusing skit trying to find the spirit of Christmas. Friday, Christmas MC's Darrell Rus- trum and Jeff Strothers announced the 1973 Christmas Queen, Marge Schenk. Topping off the festivities was the Silver Bell Ball featuring the group Vegas. TOP LEFT: Senior princess Mimi Herrle.
