Fall Assemblies Fall rally put forth a great amount of effort in order to make the pep assemblies more interesting .for all. By introducing new types of competition within the school such as the frozen-spoon-on-a- string relay to initiate new teachers, drop- ping-the-egg-on-the-face contest, tug of wars, and a freshman-senior introduction via an interdental rope of licorice, the rally succeeded in bringing Laker spirit back. Although the fall season was domin- ated by Friday pep assemblies, the mono- tony was broken by a 2-hour assembly on shoplifting. One speaker, above all, drew a reaction from the students. That speaker was the Vice-President of securities at Fred Meyer, Mr. Dehann. LEFT: Senior Ken Guy was voted Mr. Touchdown. TOP RIGHT: Trent Kamman and John O'Connor help pull the seniors to a tug-of-war victory. BOTTOM RIGHT: Football players Glen Long, Scott Baird, and Steve Hincks were all fooled when they received a kiss while blindfolded. None of them even guessed it was their mother.
