.Senior Log In the fall of '42 Lake Odessa High School received into its bosom a slightly frightened Freshman Class After our initiation we elected the following officers President, Eugene Smith, Vice President, Kay Gaiser, Secretary, Marie Jackson, Trea surer, Donavan Kaufman Our advisors were Mrs Nicol and Mr Hallenbeck until he en tered the Army In our freshman year we had two parties A theater party and a weirer roast In our Sophomore year we elected the following officers to guide us President, Marcia Holbrook, Vice Pres'dent, Richard Pearson Secretary, Pat Skelding Treasurer Cleo Downing Our sponsor was Miss Frost Ne had both a roller skating party and an ice skating party this year In addition we presented the Christmas program to the high school It was our idea of the difference between an old fashioned and a modern Christmas ln the spring we had another weiner roast at Eagle Point CAsk some of the kids what happened when Eob Feldt rowed over in a rowboat 5 We started our Junior year by electing the following officers President, Kathryn Gaiser Vice President, Don McKinley, Secretary, Dean Kelly Treasurer, Evaline rotter This year we put out the school paper, the Trojan Eloise Robinson was our editor Our first party was a hayride durlng which Tom Courtnay took an extra spec'al ride We took the Seniors on in a war bond contest before Christmas and lost As our pen alty we treated them to a slelghride that ended at the Hesterly's for chili Ne spon for us at was the night we presented our Junior play 'Charm School' In May we carried on tradition by sponsoring the Junior Senior Banquet and J Hop Our theme was Black Magic Our biggest and best year was started by the election of these officers Presi dent, Richard Pearson, Vice President, Don Cook Secretary, Marie Lane Treasurer, Betty Heintzleman, Reporter, Clare Blakely Since it was up to us to initiate the Freshman, we made them come to school dressed as Indians Then after the party that night they were officially recognized as members of Lake Odessa High School he en joyed the chicken, pheasant, and the rabbit we ate at the Senior Hunt Supper, on Octo ber 17th Miss Sp ngenberg directed our Senior play, 'Gabriel Blow Your Horr revived the Senior Prom this year lt was formal and our theme was WThe Silver Ball We also earned money this year by selling hot dogs and pop at the football and basket ball games Seated KL to RJ Marie Lane, Secretary, Betty Heintzleman, Treasurer, Don Cook, Vice President, Richard Pearson, President Standing KAdv1sorsD Mr Stauffer, Miss Spangenberg I .
