This year's drum line continued a winning tradition established in previous years by taking all available drum line trophies in com- petitions. The instructors this year were john Campese and Dave Anders. Guard had a very good year with a new look in which they took a more feminine approach. With the superior leadership of Mr. Martin, the 1983-84 Marching Band season proved to be one of the best years for the Silver Regiment. This year's Marching Band performed at all home football games and competed in many competitions. Becky Bone was this year's Majorette. Becky performed at the Homecoming game and one home football game. The Marching Band traveled to compete in the Marching Bands of America contest in which they received 22nd place in the nation. In the Tournament of Bands, they won the state championship in the field show. All of the dedicated members of the Silver Regiment should be congratulated for their many hours of hard work, because without this we would not have had such an excellent band! This year's Wind Ensemble consisted of 39 people, The Wind Ensemble performed in four major concerts throughout the year. They also competed in the Citrus Music Festival. ln order to participate in the Wind Ensemble you must go through a strenuous audition in which the finest musicians are chosen. Row 1: M. Palm, I.
