The honoree of The i967 WildcaT has endeared himself To a generaTion of school children. From elemenTary Through high school, his name is legend, and his deeds are innumerable. To lisT his accomplishmenTs is To Tell The sTory of The growTh of The Richardson area, including Lake High- lands, from a Tiny hamleT To a busTling meTropolis, wiTh The schools keep- ing pace. Dallas ciTizens, public and privaTe, sing his praises. His church finds him a faiThful sTeward. His communiTy and iTs many civic endeavors are proud of his efforTs in Their behalf. The news media have honored him, in edi- Torial and in plaque. LasT Fall, more Than lOOO educaTors, parenTs, sTudenTs, and personal friends sTaged The biggesT surprise parTy of his TwenTy years in Richard- son, To applaud him publicly for whaT he has done.
