Annual elections are held and repre- sentatives are chosen from homerooms, classes, and the school-at-large. The primary job of the Student Council is to act as a sounding board for student body ideas and interests. The council has continued to regulate fund-raising activities of school sponsored organizations. The group has also taken charge of the activity board in front of the school and has purchased a record library for dances. Student Council sponsored a dance to raise money for the March of Dimes. The Student Council inaugurated the C. T. Falls Award. The recipient is to be judged on leadership, character, and scholarship. Junior High Student Council Lake Junior High Student Council meets once each month during school hours. Projects of the organization were holding a sock-hop, sponsoring a junior high Christ- mas dance, and securing permanent Christ- mas decorations.
