96vo £ pt p- s4C uz 'Tfazt i Oh, lake of crystal water. Surrounded by yon hills, The mountain peaks rise up To kiss the blue ’nd skies and rills. Our high school stands upon the mound. We gaze at all thy charms. God bless our Alma Mater in the Adirondack arms. As forward through the years we march, Our footsteps toward success, We dream of Lake George High School, And the friends that we possess. The love and honor in our hearts Shall last forever more. The things that we accomplished, Shall reflect upon the door. 'DecUcctftoit They have understood our problems, assisted us with patience of steel, listened to our complaints with an admirable smile, inspired us with confi- dence, encouraged 11s when we were disheartened, and enhanced our chance for success. Their determined effort to make us satisfied and happy shall always be remembered as one of our most precious high school memories. Words can’t express our appreciation for their various contributions; but to show- how much we love, honor, and respect them, the Senior Class dedicates the ’58 Georgian to their parents. Left to right: Mr. Russ, Judy Hayward, Ashley Pietrick, Joyce Caple, Paul Bialous, Pattie Hime, June Dodge. In the yearbook, the class of ’58 has tried to collect the memories of past years, and put them together for you to look back on. The theme of this yearbook is “Teen- agers.” We feel it to be an appropriate one, because our high school is con- stituted of teenagers. We sincerely hope this book will bring back many happy, faded memories, and instill in your minds the desire to work for a more successful future. s4cUtu u4 Mitio«t Vice Principal Someone has said, “It is better to look ahead and pre- pare than to look back and regret.” Your opportunity to be pre- pared is given daily. If you make the necessary effort to gain your objective, people will lend encouragement. You must show the will to work if you expect the “look ahead” to bring success. Supervising Principal “We want each student to have a great aim and will teach him how to squeeze the trigger.” Sitting: Herman Murray, Douglas Webster, Edmond Brous, Ralph Brynes. Standing: William Busch, Harmel Burton, Fred Durkee. SWW SctucatioK We wish to thank the board for all they have done in our school years to make them cherished memories. uccUutce Mr. Robert Swan Mrs. Corkland Mrs. Carlson The Secretaries at work Se tavt Treasurer, Grace Giovanniello; President, Betsey Young; Secretary, Judy Hayward; Vice President, Joyce Caple; Student Council Representative, Lenny Pietrick. The class of ’58 has had four very successful and happy years of high school. In our senior year we were confronted with the problem of raising funds for our senior trip. With the aid and advice we received from our parents and advisor, the trip was made possible and an enjoyable time was had by all. To the entire school we leave best wishes for the coming years. MOST VERSATILE MOST AMBITIOUS BEST LOOKING MOST STUDIOUS MOST ARTISTIC BEST P. G. MOST ROMANTIC MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED BEST CLASS ADVISOR MOST COURTEOUS Paul Bialous Don Oudekerk Judy Hayward Girls’ Stale United Nations Delegate Homemaking Award Time: 1970 Occasion: A class of 1958 reunion in Washington, D. C., at the hotel where our senior trip was spent. The reunion was arranged by our beautiful social director, Miss Sheila George, and here she is greeting our classmates. Hi, Dick! It’s Dick Key worth coining from Warrensburg where he owns an Olds- mobile garage. He sure looks wonderful and there right behind him is that wonderful stock car racer, Brian Erhardt. Did you know that the world’s only girl expert on racing cars, Patti Dorr, keeps all his cars in shape for the races? All the guests seem to he arriving ail right, and here comes Dr. A. Rhodes and following him is his devoted nurse, Roberta Street. Here come Bill and Jan Harris; they make such a cute couple. Oh, look who’s pulling up in her speedy new car! Betsey Young. By the way, what is her name now? I heard she married a very rich polo player, but I can’t recall his name. Was it Ruhirosa? Aren t the pictures in this suite divine? They were painted by the famous artist, Lawrence Webster, and his beautiful cousin, Joanne Webster, modeled for them. Oh, look! Here comes our Canadian Ambassador of good will to the U. S., Lenny Pietrick. Following her is Joyce Caple who is carrying on the campaign for sovereignty of the southern states. Say, did you hear that Don Oudekerk owns his own Indian tribe and tours with them so he won’t be able to be with us today? Speaking of touring, here comes the famous trophy hunter, Paul Bialous. They say he shot the biggest elk ever to be brought down. Here comes his associate, Clay Beaudet, who has fish farms all over the world. There’s Pat Stanton and Carol Cooper who are both Driver Education teachers at old Lake George. Why, it’s Judy Hayward in riding breeches. They say she owns a gigantic riding stable in Kentucky and races her own thoroughbreds. Her flaming red hair looks lovely because it was done by our very own hair stylist, Kay Gilday. Did you know that the delicious food was being supplied by that famous food queen, June Dodge? They say she owns a chain of pizza houses all over the country. Oh, look! Here comes Pat Wynkoop, the head operator of the Bell Telephone Co. She really came a long distance. The great politician, Robert Allen, is coming now. Did you hear that he was running for Mayor of New York City? Hes followed by his two legal secre- taries. Gina Hime and Barb Lockhart. Have you read the latest best seller by Grace Giovanniello, “If You Are Caught Between the Ringer and the Washer—Smile!” or “How to Die Laughing in One Easy lesson”? Did you know that the music for the party is being supplied by Sandy Blair? She’s lending us all her hit records to use on the newest hi-fi set de- signed by that electrical engineering wizard, Gerald Eichen. Oh! Here comes Joan O’Dell. We heard that she’s just been appointed head of the Grand Union Chain. It’s Shireen Legg with her millionaire husband and their six children. I see Mr. Russ is here and everyone is glad to see him. Did you know that he is still teaching math at good old Lake George High? Why, that looks like an inter- mediate algebra book under his arm. Guess he hasn’t given us up yet! It certainly was a wonderful class reunion and everyone looks well. So until another twelve years we close with best wishes for years to come. TViM Being reasonably sound of mind and sufficiently sober to speak, we, the class of 1958, do solemnly bequeath the following: Bob Allen doesn’t have anything to leave but he leaves it to the Juniors. Clay Beaudet leaves Miss Lewis with no one to argue with in English. Paul Bialous leaves the yearbook problems to the editor of the 1959 Georgian. Sandy Blair leaves her back seat driver’s license to Jerry Seymour for his trips to Troy. Joyce Caple leaves her Kleenex to Little Lulu. Jan Cleveland leaves her dimensions to Charlie Smith. Carol Cooper leaves the school in peace. June Dodge leaves George (wired)! Patti Dorr leaves in a super-duper, green, custom Ford. Jerry Eichen leaves his brilliance in trig class to Tom Roach. Brian Erhardt leaves his taxi service to Mickey Smith. Kay Gilday leaves her sleepless nights to anyone who likes to ride to Corinth every night. Shiela George leaves her trips to the bank on bank day to any Junior who likes to skip classes. Gracie Giovanniello leaves George Hill a bottle of “Mistic Moment” perfume. Judy Hayward leaves her task of making posters to Carol Greene. Bill Harris leaves his basketball uniform to Mickey Smith so that he can keep the number famous. Gina Hime leaves her position on the cheering squad to Sandy Duncan. Dick Keyworth leaves his skill in cooking spaghetti to the Future Homemakers of Tomorrow. Barb Lockhart leaves her locker room jokes to her buddy Jinx Moynihan. Shireen Legg leaves insisting on taking everything with her. Joanie O’Dell leaves her slender figure to Ken Fuchslocher. Don Oudekerk leaves all the Junior girls to the Junior boys. Ashley Rhodes leaves his nickname, “Rocky,” to any Junior who has the nerve to accept it. Lenny Pietrick leaves her drumsticks to the Trombone section. Pat Stanton leaves her ability to get to class on time to the Junior Glass. Bobbie Street leaves her pony-tail to Maggi Van Horne. Joanne Webster leaves only to join the Seniors again next year. Larry Webster leaves the secret of his wavy hair to the Junior girls. Patty Wyncoop leaves her shorthand book to anyone who wants to become a telephone operator. Betsey Young leaves one-slightly used bottle of peroxide to Kay Owens. And the Class of 1958 leaves, still trying to make money for their Washington Trip. 'ZC tdexcC z44 Ke i CLASS OFFICERS—Left to right: Mike Smith.
