Patsv Johnson, and Peggy Wardner, the ollglnal nucleus of todays Senlors As the halls classrooms, and teachers of LGC.S became more famlllar to the 51ers, they began thelr long cllmb to lmmortallty I the Second Grade Marlan Ruef flrst made her appearance Wlth Allen Osborne who soon becalne the pln up boy of the Second Grade The most memorable eyent of the Thlrd Garde was the last day of school when Patsy Johnson, then undlsputed holder of the tltle of Class Terror, was hauled oy er Mrs Tufts knee and promptly spanked The rlse to hlgher classes was a slow and sometlmes dlfflcult one Along wlth ln creased amounts of homework, the 51ers found themselyes besleged wlth demands for hlgher eultllre In the Flfth Grade they staged a suceessful eomedy hlt Wlth erry Steyenson maklng hls dramatlc
