Junior Class . ., .. 4 . ,, sp- First Row: A. Wallace, D. Chambers, M. Ingranam, E. Straight, J. Bouchard, J. Colbert, A. DeSant1s, M. Sullivan Second Row: J. Dier, E. Fish, A. Hastings, K. Badman 4 Well, we started off this year worrying about how to raise enough money for this yearbook. As a matter of fact at this writing we're still worrying. To raise funds we tried everything -- square dances, a movie, a varsity-faculty basketball game and bake sale. But even with yearbook problems we've found time for other activities. In the band were Audrey DeSant1s, Muriel Sullivan, Helen Lane, Ann Wallace, Marion Ingraham, Art Hastings and John Dier. Pres1dent..Audrey DcSant1s Vice President.......John Dier Secretary Treasurer.....Helen Lane Those who participated in sports were Muriel Sullivan, Helen Lane, Audrey DeSantis, Beatrice Straight, Joyce Colber , Dorothy Chambers Gene Fish, John mer and Keith Bauman. We had quite a few cheer- leaders too -- Muriel Sullivan Helen Lane, Audrey DeSantis, Marion Ingraham, Joyce Colbert and Joyce Bouchard. Somehow, we feel that we can face our senior year with confidence for our many activ- ities, despite gray hairs, have really benefited us.

Sophomore Class First Row: George Kurosaka, Gordon Ellsworth, Peter Malcolm Second Row: M. LaPlanche, C. Flynn, J. Peck, M. Schermerhorn, E. Straight President ....George Kurceake Vice President ...Eleanor Straight Secretary Treasurer ....Catherine Flynn All this year the tiny sophomore class of ten was pretty busy. We put out four editions of TH LAKE GEORGE PROSPECT and many students participated in other activities. Five of us -- Jack Clough, George Kurosake, Mary LaPlanohe, Maxine Shermer- horn, and Johanna Peck were members of the band. Those in dramatice were Johanna Peck, Eleanor Straight, Catherine Flynn, Maxine Schermerhorn, George Kuroseka, and Peter Malcolm. Our class also liked sports. All the girls went out for field hockey and basketball. Jollis Baker, Jack Clough and George Kurosaka went out for basket- ball. In April we gave a chilling one-act play, 'The Jeweled Hand'. Some of our other class activities were planning e community center in English class, and enjoying a class picnic in the spring. Our main ambition for next year? To keep up the good work started by the Juniors this year and produce a yearbook for them. 16
